A holistic dentistry practice in West Hollywood, shared anonymously at the client’s request. The brief was to build trust with nervous patients and make booking feel safe, never salesy.
The practice serves the patients most practices struggle to reach: people who are nervous about the dentist, and people who have avoided one for years. The in-person experience was already built around that. The Instagram account was not.
The account needed to build genuine trust and make booking feel safe, never salesy. That is a harder brief than it sounds, because most dental content on Instagram is either a before-and-after or a discount.
I built a reel-led content system anchored to a single message: your care is personal, and there is no shame in starting now. Every piece led with that, published consistently week over week rather than in bursts.
Nothing was built around a follower count. The metric that mattered was non-follower reach, because a practice does not need its existing patients to see more posts. It needs new people who are quietly looking for a dentist to find it.
Monthly Instagram views increased from 5,377 in June to approximately 65,000 in July 2026. Ninety percent of July views came from non-followers. One Reel drove the July breakout after three months of consistent content.

Source: Rella analytics, organic Instagram, April 1 to June 30 2026. The July figures come from Instagram's own monthly recap. These figures show content visibility. Inquiries and booked appointments were not measured in this case study.
Instagram's own monthly recap screens, untouched. These two cover April to July, a wider window than the June to July comparison above.
The account grew on every signal of buyer intent. Profile visits rose 64 percent across the quarter, which is the clearest sign that people were considering the practice rather than just scrolling past it. Engagement climbed to a quarter high of 18.9 percent, and the trust-led reels outperformed every other format, which confirmed the messaging was right.
Then in July a single Reel broke out. Monthly views went from 5,377 in June to approximately 65,000, and 90 percent of those July views came from non-followers. Followers went from 120 to 237.
The honest version of that story: the breakout was one Reel, not a steady climb. What made it possible was three months of consistent, trust-led content that gave the account something to build on. What these figures show is visibility. Inquiries and booked appointments were not measured here, so I am not going to claim them.
